TEN BUCKET OF TEARS
was doing nothing for the past few days...tried to read the ECG MADE EASY.... failed.... tried to jog around a bit.... failed.... tried to go out and fly kite.... failed again... i end up watching a japanese movie... ONE LITRE OF TEARS.... courtesy of denise, promoted by jane june.... sigh....
to make things clear.. i am not the drama type, or the series type... heck, i dun even follow HOUSE... take too long... except cartoon and anime;p (last exile rocks weh...thanks jesse the jess machine!!!! ;p) .... neway, off i go sailing into the world of AYA SHOUANE (hope i get the spelling right) an active 15-year-old-girl, plays basketball, ben and chee mei type of student... class choir conductor... (she kinda reminds me of ivy - minus the mascular thigh;p huhuhuhu) the perfect daughter.... a dream girl i would say...
but, then... nobody's perfect... and i mean nobody... she was diagnosed with SCD.... something to do with the brain and she ends up with an incurable disease which worsen by the minute.... except for her mental state, everything else just deteriorate... wont be able to walk, speak, eat.......
all the hardship and her determination touches the exterior part of my emotion (and yes, just the exterior part ;p)
i dunno bout u guys but the best bit of this drama to me was the family values shown by the SHOUANE's.... i really like her dad.... funny, cynical and most of all a father to the very extreme... if it weren't for the family side of the drama, i wouldn't watch the drama at all!!!!! thumbs up to the director... whoever he/she might be;p i treasured each and every conflict they endured...especially the to-tell-or-not-to-tell part, the bro's dilemma, and of coz the last part where they celebrated christmas together.... sad wehhhhh :(
all-in-all, i give the series 4 and a half stars... the other half to the lousy ending... i really think they should have end the drama after the last christmas celebration thingy... it would cast a far greater effect.... btw i hate the 4th episode and the last 3 episodes.... they are just out of place! arghhhhhh..... did i mentioned the lousy ending?
oh ya.... it's based on a true story....based on her diary....
to those who havent, go and watch it.... it's good for your soul;p to those cold hearted people, it'll warm ur heart melting it if u r not careful... but to those who want likes to cry... it'll caused severe dehydration (nope, i didn't cried).... take extra caution! ;p

I hope that this drama really inspire u. Guess who recommended this drama 2 me? It's my bro. I didnt regret spending 11 hours of my time watching it. What i have gained is much more precious than the 11hrs of time. I enjoyed this show a lot though it is not a comedy. I think u enjoyed it as well. So, next time if i hv any nice show again, i'll definitely share it with u guys. Happy Holidays!!!

try watching "14 year old mother"... i don't know if you'll like it or not, but to me it's a good family drama..
